Allen Chen is a healthcare and senior care advocate dedicated to serving vulnerable populations and strengthening community support services.
Raised in Vancouver, Allen later pursued medical studies in Taiwan, earning a degree in medicine. He went on to work with a non-profit long-term care association, helping develop home care services, senior day programs, and community-based support initiatives focused on older adults living with dementia, frailty, and other age-related challenges. By 2023, these efforts had expanded to six senior day care centres serving seniors and their families.
Since returning to Canada, Allen has served as a full-time volunteer with the City of Burnaby Citizens Support Services program and the Tzu Chi Foundation Canada. He remains committed to advocating for improved healthcare infrastructure, supporting seniors and community resources, and building a stronger, safer, and more compassionate community.
