Fiorella Ravelli is a business professional with a strong interest in public policy, economic development, and local civic decision-making. She pursued studies in Business Administration, focusing on Marketing and Legal Studies. While her educational journey began with a passion for business, her legal studies introduced her to the world of policy, governance, and contracts, inspiring a deeper appreciation for how decisions and regulations shape organizations, communities, and opportunities for future generations. She currently works with small and medium-sized businesses, supporting them with human resources and workplace safety solutions.
Fiorella’s interest in politics emerged from a desire to better understand how meaningful change happens at the local level. She became increasingly focused on how municipal tax dollars are allocated and the importance of ensuring public funds are used efficiently, transparently, and with clear benefit to residents. Seeing how inefficiencies or poorly planned decisions can impact communities strengthened her belief that public spending should directly improve quality of life. Her priorities include protecting Burnaby’s natural environment, green spaces, wildlife, and habitats; promoting responsible budgeting and financial stewardship; supporting thoughtful housing policies that protect homeowners while enabling growth; and strengthening support for seniors. These priorities have inspired her interest in serving as a City Councillor and contributing to a more accountable and effective local government.
